Really? Someone actually liked this color once?
Real quick-like, since the weekend was spent in Cleveland visiting the boyfriend's grandma (i.e., not a computer in sight)...
Since Christina is enamored (and rightly so) with her gorgeous new appliance, I thought it was time to share with you all the glory that is my apartment's green kitchen...

"Avocado green" is the correct term, I think.
Since I STILL have no batteries in my camera (I'm lame, I know)... This photo was taken around Christmas on a messy day. Usually I am quite anal about aligning anything that's hung up on the fridge, and now there are quite a few more photos and such gracing the front. (Anything to hide the green.) Also, the counter clutter has been reduced (again with the anal-retentiveness). Note that I've tried to embrace the green with my grapevine potholders, rug, and burner covers. But, ick.
Anyway, that's your moment of zen for the day. :) (Since I can't grow a mustache to entertain myself, like some Bloggers...see Sal on the blogroll.)
Coming soon, my brown velvet couch, a.k.a. "The Lowrider"... (See the lower-right corner of above photo for a preview.) Off to work.

Avocado! I love it! No really, if they had had a fridge in that colour I would have taken it because I looove green. And the matching stove? Awesome. Are they from the 70's or do they still make stuff like that? I think my parents had a "burnt orange" fridge back then.
You call that clutter? You need to come to my house some time. We're knee deep in it.
All this talk about avocado appliances, but you folks are missing the big issue.
WHY DOES THE KITCHEN HAVE A BUILT-IN IRONING BOARD?!!!
I thought those things only existed in Tom & Jerry cartoons.
The ironing board is a great mystery indeed. As for the Avocado green, I couldn't believe it when I saw the picture- My girlfriend's new apartment in Prague has now been built and she was thinking about what colors to get the walls painted and - you guessed it - avocado green!
Show us your couch, Angie!!
